Keep calm and celebrate!

The diamond jubilee gave us thousands of street parties all over the country. A wonderful celebration of all things British and Royal. We had a street party in my village with seating for a thousand. Actually there were several thousand there sharing lunch and partying!

The attraction here is the contrast of the huge storm clouds gathering with the brightly lit partygoers bathed in sunshine. It’s a typical summer’s day in Britain! “Hope the weather holds!”

There’s an allegory here – despite the economic storm clouds gathering – keep calm and celebrate!
